I think so many players were impressed by Steve's playing. I believe he now his place in the history of blues harmonica.
Spent some time with Steve were both from philly. We both studied with Forest Scott on Chromatic. Late night snack at Denny's. Steve's grilled Cheese they forgot to put in the tomato. I guess that's a new blues tune The grilled Cheese without the tomato blues. LOL ----------

I've been a friend of Steve Guyger's for over 20 years and you will love being around him if you get the chance. He's about like Rick Estrin when it comes to dealing with fakes and "big heads", yet in a heartbeat he will help out someone who is sincere. Bill Clarke introduced us here in Atlanta when Steve came through here with Jimmy Rogers...I guess about 1990 or '91. I have to keep my wife away from him, LOL, she says..."ooooo he looks so much like Patrick Swayze, etc etc etc" (gag at those good looking guys...I hate 'em all). LOL. Just feed him some collard greens, blackeyed peas, and real southern cornbread and he will show you anything you want to know. For a Pennsylvania yankee, he knows how to appreciate the good stuff. One helluva guy! and...........he can flat make that harp sit up and talk. Regards. Joe Lee

I saw Guyger live in Finland when I was 20. For me it was THE gig what it comes to harmonica, something that will have it's own chapter in my memoir. It made me practice hours every day for a year straight, no excuses.
Next year I found myself on the same stage, jammin'. All thanks to Steve almighty.
