Can anyone help i feel that for the short time i have been playing i do well. I can bend isolate single notes octaves etc. what i find difficult is blending all the riff you learn so that they blend. thanks for any help.

You're self-admitted 'short time' playing, makes me appreciate your question. I'll bump this with something that passes for a reply and see if it prompts more.
My advice is to spend more time just being with the instrument. Breathing in and out through it. Make noise. Repeat and refine those sounds that sound pleasing to your own ears. Sit by your self and dedicate a solid hour to a non-structured, completely extemporaneous session. Put it away.
Come back and work on scales. Backwards and forwards.
Return some time later and sit again and let it make it's own sounds. Before too long, you'll realize that you have begun to link "riffs".
Listen to The Masters.

Well. I hope this helps. It sounds like you get what I was saying.
My next lesson will be pebble snatching from the hand...
