One big difference I noticed was Chromatics and Diatonics playing
in the same jam sessions. Nobody cared it's all harmonicas now.
How cool is that just playing music now. How sweet.

i havent been to spah in a couple of years, but i think the diatonic and chromatic division is slowly vanishing because the hard core, long-time chrome players are passing away (or unable to travel to a spah), naturally, and those that are playing chrome may not play it exclusively and are, also, younger and more open-minded.

Both last and this year SPAH was diatonic friendly. It's really cool to hear them mix in a jam. I play both. This year though, it was cool, I got into jams with a violin player, bass harp player, and chord harp player some lead & not lead by guitar players. I seen people jamming with other instruments too. Makes every more fun.
