I found a player called ALPlayer.
It uses markers to loop part of a video. Nice to repeat parts of Adam's lessons. Great for guitar lessons as well, it's not easy repeating a part over and over in media player with a guitar in your hands. It also has a bookmark function. I had to search for a while to find the shortcut keys, they are different than the ones shown in the menu. Maybe because my keyboard is azerty. It does change all file associations without asking but you can uncheck them in the File - preferences menu.
It's Lesser General Public License. That means it's free I guess... haven't seen any nag screens.
Anyway, I think it's great for practice and thought I'd mention it here. I guess most of you already have something like this.

I'm still looking for a harp tab generator that includes the name of the notes or notes on a staff.

SEYDEL-MelodyRecorder V 1.0
SEYDEL-TabTool V 1.0
You might want to try this out. Here is a link SEYDEL SOFTWAREto the Seydel Harmonica website, to two pieces of free software. The Melody recorder is a tuner/ melody input program. The Tab Tool Converts your inputted notes to harmonica Tab form.
Eg. When you play a series of notes (say on a C Harp) and input them individually in the melody recorder (with the green plus key) it displays your melody in the following form lets say in this instance E5 E5 F5 G5, you then hit the copy icon and paste it into the Tab Tool Program.
In this program you can select the harp key (and type of harp your using diatonic or chrom etc.,) you played it on the output key you want it tabbed in (let’s say C) btw there are many options here to convert it to a tab for different harp tunings. To keep it simple select blues harp as your desired input and output (you can also select in the drop down menu if your melody included bends and they will be tabbed accordingly. In the simple example above the notes E E F & G will be shown as +5+5-5-6 when you hit the convert button. This program will also allow you to play the tab you’ve just created back to verify you played the melody correctly.
I have download both pieces of software and they work fine. Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

@ Gene, Playing and looping at half speed seems to be possible in some formats, it works for .avi but I could'nt get it to work with mp4
Thanks Grey Owl. I Like the Melody recorder. I followed a few links from there and found these as well http://www.cnix.de/harpeditor/downloads.htm and http://www.folkinfo.org/songs/abcconvert.php
the first makes a tab with arrows and note names. It has a nice interface with buttons arranged like a harp to enter the notes. you can put in different note lenght and pauses ect.. The tab can be expored to ABC notation. If you paste that in the box at http://www.folkinfo.org/songs/abcconvert.php you get a staff with notes and a blow-draw notation you can download as PDF and Midi

Thanks. I downloaded it.
It will play a little faster or a little slower. It does change the pitch, though.

Hey, this video player is great for lessons! Thanks for the tip on that.
I have messed with those Seydel programs before, but I find a pencil and paper--with my version of Adam's tabs to work faster and easier. Too much computer shit makes the job more tedious to me--but if they help somebody else, then go for it. . . ----------
