Just got back from the Heritage Blues Fest in Wheeling, WVa. What a great time. Had Moreland and Arbuckle, who have been there before, The Nighthawks and I was wowed by Charlie Musselwhite. I have to say that over the years, I have respected him as a harp player but never liked him from recordings. All I can say after seeing him live is WOW!!! There was also a slide guitar player that I really liked, Austin "Walking" Cane. The quality of players has definitely improved over the years at this festival. Unfortunately tomorrow may not happen over there as the weather isn't looking too good for it. Have to wait and see.

How was Teeny Tucker? Love those guys. Guitar player Bobby Hughes is excellent and one of the nicest guys you"ll ever meet. My friend Dave Gastell is their Harmonica player with his own great sound and style. Don't forget Teeny's new song, Keep The Blues Alive and wow the 3 backup singers. Gotta loves those gals.

They were there on Sunday and previous family commitments prohibited my attendance on Sunday. Really disappointed as Buddy Guy closed it out. I live so close that I normally could hear it from my backyard but yesterday, for some reason , there wasn't anything to be heard!!!!
