Jerry Portnoy's site "Harp Junction" seems like a great place. However I'm not gettin' it. I get emails all the time with new lessons as well as a video. However it is just a tease because I haven't come across one video on that site that works or is more than just a snapshot of the video. When I joined the site it said you have to pay to get the lessons. That is understandable. But it also said the first and last lessons are free. They don't seem to work for me either. What I don't understand is why send an email with the new lesson when it really isn't a lesson? (unless you are a paid member). Especially with a video that looks like it would work until you click on it and get nothing.
Is anyone else getting these lessons and are actually able to view them? (non paid members).

Tommy-I got on his site yesterday and watched the first lesson-you have to register first to activate the free lessons.
I like his "Masterclass CD's" much better- I won't be signing up for the pay lessons.

Yea, I've been through the registration. That's why I get the email updates. I read, get intersted and then excited to play the vid to see how the licks play out then the let down! lol

weird. I can access all the videos. The site is still in Alpha testing - so it's live, but may have bugs. I'd contact them, (mike at harpjunction dot com) and let them know the problems you're having, that's the kind of stuff they want to know about.

The video looks ready to go, just like a regular embedded video you may find here. I click the big arrow (play) in the center and nothing.
Yea, maybe I will email Mike. Then again why would I be getting these free? I'm not a paid subscriber.

Alpha..beta....I think they're in the cluster***k phase right now, Tommy. I registered, they sent me a password and I had access to everything, despite the fact that as I perused the site, I got the distinct impression that you were supposed to be a paying member to access the full lessons.
I haven't gone back because I want to avoid the day they wake up and suddenly I don't have access anymore. I respect their right to charge for whatever content they want, but there is nothing that would piss me off more than getting used to going there and accessing stuff and then suddenly you can't anymore without ponying up $$$.

I joined a week or two ago, have full access and they never asked for money. I get email when Jerry put a new blog or if they want me to comment on a question in the forum. They will be going to beta testing in two weeks.
