Anyone have any experience with this keyboard amp/PA unit?
I believe this unit used with a Shure SM57 or 58 will serve my needs as an acoustic harp/singing practice amp and house party/coffee house PA. At 40 pounds, it's a little bigger than I was hoping for, but I haven't found a small unit that will do everything I want.
I suppose the the effects are more limited than those found on some guitar amps, but do you think this unit can provide some semblance of the Chicago harp sound if I choose to venture in that direction? (Obviously, this unit wouldn't be my first choice if the Chicago sound was my main focus.)
Here are the specs: 45-Watt 3-channel PA system / keyboard amplifier Powerful 10'' BUGERA speaker Integrated digital FX processor with 100 awesome presets including reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, pitch shifter and various multi-effects Revolutionary FBQ Feedback Detection system instantly reveals critical frequencies Full 3-channel operation with separate Volume and FX Send per channel Additional XLR mic input on Channel 1 for direct connection of dynamic microphones Dedicated 5-band graphic EQ for awesome sound shaping Line output for direct connection to your mixing console Main section with FX Return level and Master Volume Subwoofer output for ultimate low-end power CD input allows you to play along to your favorite music Separate Headphone output—perfect for quiet practicing
Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks, Tom

Well... Ya know those people who always say Behringer equipment is junk? They're mostly right. My experience with Behringer gear is not positive.

Thanks bharper. That's the kind of valuable feedback I was looking for. From reading reviews on various vendors' websites, I get the impression that when Behringer products work, they do a fine job. However, it seems their products have relatively high failure rates. Their prices are certainly attractive, but I guess you get what you pay for.
I think I'll look into Roland amps/PAs like the Cube Street and Cube Monitor. They cost a little more, but I can get waranteed factory-refurbished units for about the same price as a new 45-watt Behringer unit.
