Does anyone dig the 6th position? I love it. It seems to pop the harp out to a whole new sonic dimension. When I go there, listeners take notice and respond positively.

What are your favorite tunes for 6th position?

I like playing improvised blues in 6th. The blues scale works well.

The 6,7,8 draw are flat 7, root, and flat 3rd. Easy to move between these common blues notes.

Two different draw splits give you the root and flat 7 (same as 2/5 draw split in second position). They are 3/6 draw and 7/10 draw..great for backing too.

Sixth position lays naturally in the Locrian mode so I'm not sure what songs fit that.

Easy to find and try. Just go up 1/2 step from the song key to find the harp you need and make 3 and 7 draw your root notes.

Seems like Gindick has a video of 6th position play.
