I made these wood mics for SPAH - from mild to wild. I'll have Ultimate mics too, plus cables, wireless systems, adapters, volume controls, Bulletizers - all at special show prices.....

"look at all the pretty, shiny mics."

you're killin' me!!
one more reason to NOT go to SPAH. i'd be doubling the cost of the SPAH by buying mics and harps and....

LSC- you'll have to come to SPAH to find out.

All: Anyone care to hazard a guess as to who the SB mic is for? (Hint - He decided he wanted one last year, at SPAH)

@Rubes - you were right the first time - Steve Baker
@Cristal - the normal price for that mic would be 357, the SPAH price is $321.

Now there's always someone who will say "why so expensive?" There are many reasons. I cannot compete with mass volume producers who build cheap stuff - so I don't try. My mics aren't for everybody. But you won't find another 4.5 oz bullet mic with a single impedance CM element in it for much less. Plus - THEY'RE A LOT OF WORK!

my wife has a degree in fine arts, knows art very well.
we would go to art shows and such and always look at the arts and crafts. i made a comment once about that being a WHOLE LOT for that painting.
she gave me the basic economics of the situation which, before, i had been aware of.
it is basically- look at the object and estimate how long it would take to paint/build/craft... now double it because you dont take into consideration the planning, aquiring materials (even if they are on hand, they aint RIGHT THERE!), clean up, transportation to festival, price for booth.....
now do the math price/hours.
we picked a painting and i did the calculations and came up with about $20 and hour. i thought that was pretty good for "painting a picture." now remember, she tells me, they dont have insurance, they dont have paid vacation days, they dont have paid lunch breaks AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN NOONE BUYS THAT PAINTING!!

i give lots of credit to those that have skills like that.

I now officially hate you for not making it to HCH2 - even if it wasn't your fault!

One of those should have been mine!

They look beautiful, Greg.
