So I happened on this mic (707a with full strength 99B94 Shure crystal element). I have decided to part with it. I've done some research on it, but can't get any ideas on price (it's not for sale anywhere!). I wouldn't want to charge anyone too much or too little, what would be a decent price for me to get for it?
Comments/suggestions on my playing (some of which is improvised) would be much appreciated as usual. I am using a Roland Cube 15XL on clean, equalizer dials all in the middle. Apologies for quiet recording volume - really need to experiment more with this; I had to keep the recording mic from being overdriven.
707A going for 300 - 350 Bucks on ebay,. I's say start your bid out at 200 Bucks,..that is if it's the small shell 707 ? If it's the large shell 707 ,..it's just another 520,. Price wise >< good luck ---------- Simply Unique Kustom Mic's By Rharley
How would anyone know if the crystal element was 'full strength'? (unless they had owned it from new, had the same amplifier and a really good memory) ---------- Lucky Lester
It's hard to be sure from the vid but it looks like a small shell. I believe all of the black tag 707A's are small shells but can't remember for sure. The last two (of this model) sold for $91 and $102 non-working, poor to fair condition. That one looks to be in very good condition. But as for "full strength", again hard to tell from the video but it doesn't sound like it to me. Strong but not full... I haven't seen a 707A go for anywhere near $300 in a while. Ya never know till you put it up. But I wouldn't list it as "full strength". That could come back to burn you hard.
