Bad news. Our official roadie, Kevin Moore, has been forced to decamp for Connecticut late next week to assist his aged mother in leaving the hospital after a 3-week stay, meaning that he won't be around for our planned gig at Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa that Saturday night. He's the only guy capable of setting up all Sterling's stuff and making sure that it works without catastrophic failure. He couldn't find an adequate sub.

With great reluctance, but also some relief, we informed the booker/owner of Skipper's that we would not be able to make the gig. It's never pleasant to do that to somebody only 8 days out. But it would have been worse to have tried to play the gig and have something go wrong halfway through and have 350 people staring at the newbie as he/she tried to cobble together a fix on some ancient bit of Satan-hardware. Not MY idea of a good time. And the risk was real.

Sorry, guys. No gig.
