Hi, I was always impressed by players who can make scream their harp and doing a clear, precise and rhythmic fast vibrato. Here is an example below (you must wait at the middle of the video. The tempo is at about 57BPM and he is doing a 8/beat vibrato. I counted by tapping my hands on my table. I think it's a throat vibrato because it's powerful and deep. What do yo think?

Hi,

yes, i'm talking about when he switch the C harp (1st position) with the Bb harp (third position). Just after 4:00 he is doing a long 6 draw with his vibrato.

I have already seen Buddha's videos but it sounds to me diffent from Mischo's vibrato. I have heard something similar to Mischo from Dennis Gruenling and Big Walter Horton.

The rhythm in the video above is nice to play triplets and his vibrato isn't a 6 wave/beat vibrato.

It's throat vibrato-all the guys you mentioned tongue block-Chris was mostly a lip purser, which is waht enables him to utilize the mouth/ tongue vibrato so well.

it is tongue block with the chords in the example he gives.. still chris showed mouth vibrato can be done while tongue blocking as well, and mentioned that regular tongue blockers can probably do it much better than he can... i suspect many good players do some of both. i am not great, but can feel some back of tongue involvement with vibrato, especially that fast staccato type where it is sort of a slap with the back of my tongue and top of my throat with a bit of diaphram flutter, but the percussion comes from the bit on the top of the throat, so give it a try and see what works for you. mechanics probably differ a little with each player
