Hey everyone,

This may have already been posted up here, but check this out. Great tune with some awesome harp playing. First vid is the official video, which is worth watching for the animation and the eye candy, but also check out the second live video. Does anyone know the harp player?

Big River. Good example of pentatonic playing.

Its a cracking tune and a cracking album.

The harp player is Fraser Speirs as in bdr's video post.

This is what he has to say about it on the Harp Surgery website a while back.

For “Pencil Full Of Lead” I used a Tombo Folk Blues 10 hole low G for the riff and rhythm parts and switched to the high G for the solo. Hope that is of some help to your readers. Best wishes, Fraser Speirs.

Heres a link to the original post there.

When I first heard Pencil, I loved it. Then, as I heard Nutini played more and more, I realised that it was the only song anyone ever plays. So the more time drags on, the less interest I have in hearing anything else by him.

I loved the first album. If you play the last track and let it run out, he's put a little surprise on at the end.

Brilliant stuff.
