Thanks Paul. That was just about as much fun watching it as it was when we were doing it.
What was unique is that there were a bunch of great Harmonica Players all playing with feeling, without any egos, and without anyone really running the show. It was not loud and was enjoyable for everyone, including the spectators.
I do not know if we could ever duplicate that again. ----------
Thanks for posting this, Paul! These are all forumites:JBHarmonica(Jeremy B.)on guitar, Beltone(Terry B.)on bass, KingoBad(Danny)on brush snare, myself seated on cajon playing harp, and...I forget who it was that's playing harp in the white shirt. Someone I.D. him, please. Deak joined us for a while in this tune, and more.
Our backup band cancelled the day before this, so we pooled our resources and, above all, got the able help of JB on guitar, bass and harp and his nifty lopping skills that sometimes enabled him to layer bass, then guitar, and sometimes his harp as well. A fun time was had by all. Great folks at Hopson, too! Deak wandered in for a little while too, and Scott(one of the HCH staff), Chili George and a big handful of others. Twas fun. ---------- Todd L. Little did I know I would be playing more percussion than harp. That was a great time! I got a little nervous when Deak started calling tunes and let us have it, but we managed well I thought (except for that bass player - ha ha! Sorry Terry, couldn't resist). It was great meeting and playing with you guys. I had a blast. I look forward to next year.

Next time, we'll have to ensure we pay a band, so all we harpers have to do is play harp. I'm thinking we all put up 20 bucks each and that would be easy. I'm in. That place has the coolest vibe! We could even adverstise it next time, too. The 20-30 we had were just from this and the HCH forum. I don't think there was anyone who didn't enjoy themselves. It was a great start to a fantastic weekend. ---------- Todd L. Greene
