Here's a guy who tends to cruise under the radar: Harmonica Frank Floyd from Toccopola, Mississippi, just down the road from Oxford. Honeyboy Edwards writes about traveling and playing with Floyd. There aren't many white bluesmen of note who hail from Mississippi: Floyd is one of them, along with Jimmie Rodgers, Bill Abel, and Mose Allison.
Good find Adam. I first heard that a few yrs ago on the Paul Jones blues show on the bbc. There is another cool vid of him sitting on a tractor singing and playing with the harp stuck in his mouth. Well funky.
