Has anyone tried to get individual reeds from Hohner lately? I have been told (in April) that the ones that I need would have to come from Germany. With the passing of Alan Eichler, I don't know of a second source. Any help would be appreciated.

I just talked to Mark at Hohner Parts about the reed availability situation, and he said that they still sell reeds, but right now, the supply is sketchy, and they will be replenishing their stock in a few months, and that they should be available. I am talking about the reeds for the Classic, hand made models. These include MB, GM, Spec 20, and all the older Hand made models.

The reeds that hey have coming in, however, are the newest batch of reeds, on the current production models. The ones they have been selling up until now have been the older reeds made before 2005. This only makes a difference to a few customizers, and they know who they are.

Thanks Harvey, Mine are older GM's, so does that mean that they are getting those or not. I didn't follow your post.
