Hi All,

A few months back, I put myself on Greg Heumann's list to buy a reconditioned Kalamazoo 2 amp. Based on the sound clips on his site http://www.blowsmeaway.com/kalamazoo.html and Adam's theory of using a small amp and mic it through the PA, I thought I'd give it a try. I finally made it to the top of the list and my Kalamazoo 2 arrived yesterday!

Additionally, I had taken advantage of Jeff Silverman's HCH pricing and ordered 3 Seydel Blues Soloist Pro harps (A,C,D) which also arrived yesterday! WOOT!!! CHRISTMAS!!!

Last night, I took both the amp and harps to my weekly jam. The amp through the PA sounded fantastic! The harps played very well right out of the box..literally. I got comments from just about every musician saying my tone and volume were the best I've ever had. I could actually hear myself on stage, using the amp as a monitor. My wife even said "Well, after 5 amps and 60 harps, I think you finally found it." I guess that's a thumbs up from her!

If you have a small amp at your disposal, give Adam's set up a try. If you don't have a small amp...I can now recommend the Kalamazoo 2. I had great volume/tone and zero feedback. My mic went straight to the amp, no pedals at all, not even the AFB+!

As for the Blues Soloist Pro harps...they played better OOTB than any harp I've purchased...including the Seydel 1847 Silver at twice the price. I can see more of these slowly working their way into my case.

Other than being a satisfied customer, I have no connection to any vendor listed above.

Dan
