We talk about woodshedding here’s a bit of mine Mine is an old wooden single car garage behind my house. This time of year in Nova Scotia it is just warm enough to be outside in the evening so it a bit of treat to be out there. Tonight I was in the garage playing along to some of my favourite songs and backing tracks. This feels a bit unusual as I normally play and sing within the confines of the house....I’m feeling a bit exposed. However tonight was good as it was pouring rain with thunder and lightening...I knew no one could hear me so I was free to play and stretch my ability. Nice wood shed time..what is yours..

Oh, yeah--its great when you KNOW nobody can hear--I used to have a workshop out in a bunch of trees--I could even crank my amp up to 12 and make the trees move--now I gotta get a lot quieter--it really helps to use a little mixer with a mic and guitar plugged into it--then use earphones and blow my own brains out. . . ---------- Oldwailer's Web Site Always be yourself--unless you suck. . . -Joss Whedon

Mine used to be in my car in the back of the Lowe's Foods parking lot. The store was in a bowl (or a cut if you prefer the proper topographical term). It was a nice spot because the store never was crowded enough for anyone to come near my car and it was tucked away enough so that I could get away from my apartment and wife and not be seen from the road. Now my woodshed is in my work shop/ storage room/ man cave. not the most stellar man cave I've seen but it does the trick. ---------- Brad

My car (a Fiat Panda), parked in a layby just outside of the village of Lympstone, during my lunchbreak. I have a lovely view across the esturary toward Exmouth and the English Channel.
The road is popular with walkers and cyclists, and they fall into 2 categories:
1: Those who stare at me like I must be completely deranged.
2: those who smile, nod, or on a couple of occasions applaud as they walk past (Of course, they aren't there long enough to get sick and tired of my constant woodshed repetition of the same phrase, lick or bend over and over and over and over and over and over . . . . )

@ Andy, is your Panda anything like this one? If so, you can entertain at the beach, too!

@toddlegreene: Alas no, though if it were that would explain the people from aforementioned category 1! Here's my little baby in all her sparkling blue glory:

I have a couple of woodsheds. The one I use most is the Riverwalk in my hometown. It's a paved dyke top that is used by dog walkers, bicyclists, etc... I get some great practice time there while walking my dog. Sometimes we'll drop on down to the waters edge and sit on the rocks and "harpoon some fish". Another spot I love to play at is up in the canopy of a tree. I run a tree climbing academy, and when I climb for fun, (rope and harness style climbing, like arborists do) I like to harp while at height. The leaves drown out the volume, and I can wail away at will.
