I don't know how I missed this one, but it's a fun summer vid.

Traditionalists, please note the 6 ob at 1:51 and figure out which insult you should hurl at us.

I'll say this about Brother Hakan: he takes risks. He's always trying something new. If he's not on my Honorable Mention list--and I think that he is--he will be added the moment I muster enough daytime brain cells to add him.

I'd call him an honorary American for his let-it-all-hang-out spirit, but the Canadians on this forum would revolt. Hey.

Edited to add: He quotes Little Walter, Cotton, Kim Wilson, me (What'd I Say), Rod Piazza, and others in this. AND he shakes his hips more than most Swedes are willing to. Very chaude stuff.

I don't know how you missed it either. Hakan only posts a video every five minutes. (ha)

Thank you Adam!

You are generous with your comments. I don't feel I am taking risks. I never do anything stupid on the internet, only silly things on an appropriate level. Youtube is the right place to try different ideas to study the response. My most experimental stuff wasn't too well received so I removed it and I think I am getting more mainstream within my field rock/boogie/blues.

If Kim Wilson had dressed like santa then he would take risks! Since he build his traditionalist position and it doesnt fit in there. But it would be fun to watch. Or Kim Wilson as a drag queen with lipstick! I think that would do him good.

12gagedan:

900 days since I uploaded my first video. 305 videos so far. A video every 3 days is not bad either!

Hakan,
I don't know what you took down, but I would recommend that you don't take anything down. So what if it wasn't well received? It just might happen to be one of somebody's favorites.

Not well received?
What kind of self absorbed jackass wouldn't appreciate that outstanding playing?
You know what you're doing and it shows.
I see you have those sidemen trained to do the right thing and to realize they are in a SUPPORT role. Good for you.
You got my vote.
Regards,
Joe Lee

'Twas the night before christmas
And all through the House
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse
The children were tucked up all snug in their cots
Till the first bars of Juke made whole building rock

Hakan I don't like everything you have posted, but I don't want you to take down anything!
I think its cool that you can get into doing different stuff. I love the new hair cut vid with the chrom. I believe that was one of your earlier vids.
The stuff that isn't recieved as positively might be just different than what most harpers are use to. Thats why I like what you do! DO YOUR THING BABY!
