Check out Harry Manx. I think that's his name. He does a blues/indian thing with some really tastey, slow, and minimal harp. Excellent tone too.

Harry Manx rules! I've been listening him a lot recently. He has a good tone both in singing, harp playing and on slide. I think he's music has two things that lifts it off from the rest of the bands (for me at least):
1) Song writing
2) Accuracy of melodies & micro-tonals with eastern influences

(people with perfect pitch can ignore this posting)

That James Cotton number intrigues me because he makes that harp sound like quite a low one. Recently I've mostly been playing my low F, and I thought, he's probably not playing one of those, I'll try my G, but no, he's playing an A harp. That surprised me. Or maybe it has just been too long since I played my A harp.

My teachers always said I was the slowest in the class and I play harmonica....does that count?

I think Sonny boy williamson had some great slow stuff. This tune always feels slower than it actually is.

I'm working up a song for this thread. I have already started the song, but the first note won't happen for another year or so...

slow is the only way to go few notes but hang on them and make them expressive
