I'm sure there are plenty of " You could have" or you should have" or "If I were you" etc but that's fine. The deed is done and I'm content. I have had 5 guitars and an amp as well as a sound processor sitting around for years doing nothing. I'll tell you right off I am too lazy to go through the trouble of Ebay, Craigslist or even advertising for private selling. So what was my Fender Champ 30 (solid state...not tube) amp doing but collecting dust and being used for a shelf? It cost me $230 10 years ago. I never used it....ok...maybe 5 x in the house? Today I traded it it for a Pignose 7-100. Actually I traded that plus a cheap Fender bullet (one pickup) guitar I bought for $99 about 8 or 9 years ago. I didn't haggle...I didn't care. Before I had an amp I wasn't using and never sounded great being it was non tube. Now I have something to practice on. Ok...once I get a mic.
I probably could have got a little more had I gone private but I don't have the time for that. Hey...40 bucks for that cheap guitar 9 years later? That thing was rotting in my basement.
I was looking for the Vox DA5 but they had none. I saw a VOX V15 that seemed interesting but they wouldn't go for it. No biggie....Pignose will do for now. No cash out of my pocket....just some stuff that was collecting dust.
