Two recent positive experiences:
Peavey cables and IMTs (Peavey calls them Lo to Hi-z adapters) have a lifetime warranty. I've been using Peavey mic cables and IMTs for a long time. i especially like the Peavey XLR cables that have an on/off switch on the mic connector which is very useful for harp. Anyway, 2 rat tail IMTs I've had for a while developed a hum. Sent them back to Peavey with a letter and proof of purchase (the email receipt i still had on my computer)and 2 brand new ones arrived by mail in less than a week. Nice.
My MXR Carbon Copy Delay just died. No sound or LED when engaged. Couldn't find my receipt, but i called Jim Dunlop customer service and explained the problem. They were very accommodating and said just to send it in and they'll fix it. No hassle.
You never like having problems with gear, but it's nice when vendors stand behind their stuff. I'm pretty satisfied.
BTW, both Buy.com and Amazon currently have the Carbon Copy available for $117.90 (including shipping), which is a very good price. I just bought a spare.

@Boris, I asked the customer service rep about this. he was candid and said that they used to have a design defect that has been corrected and when earlier units come in for service, MXR/Dunlop modifies them to be the same as the newer design. No difference in sound.

Just had another great customer service experience. I use a Visual Sound One Spot to power my pedal board. Very compact, inexpensive, well designed, and usually very reliable. Comes with a one year warranty.
Anyway, i get to a gig a couple of weeks ago, start to set up and the effects pedals on my board won't turn on. No power. I had a spare One Spot in what i call my paying gig bag so i got it out, hooked it up and everything was fine.
Called Visual sound about the one that failed and they told me send it in and they'd send me a new one, which they did. No hassle.
Again, it's disappointing to have any piece of gear fail, but it's nice to know the manufacturer stands behind the product. I've been using One Spots for a while without any problems before this.
Btw, I also got my MXR CC back after sending it in for repair. Works as good as new.

Well, while we're at it, Pedaltrain gives you a lifetime warranty. Last year, I had a zipper on the soft case for my Pedaltrain Mini break. i called them and they sent me a new case. No hassle.
