As memorable as the performances were at HCH2, the workshops were also phenomenal. This is one of my favorite photos from the weekend -- Jason Ricci improvising, like a real bluesman does, a smartboard on a cardboard box, indicating scales and in this case octave tongue-blocking. I think Omaha mentioned he had video of this session (can't wait for that), which as he said was pegged for beginners but so nuanced and so beautifully tinged with Jason's unique perspective that it would've benefited anyone at Foxfire that day. I thought this might be a good thread to post video and notes of epiphanies and things learned from the phenomenal workshops and instructors/performers this year.
