I'm working on trying to put a little swing into my Blues. I know this is full of mistakes but i thought i would upload it anyway, just trying to take my mind of other things at the moment:o)
I listened to it again and it's even better second time around! Nice tone ANT. (by the way that's what I call my son...his name is Anthony). ---------- Seven times down Eight times up
HI Ron, you're right Ant's Juke is really great. I've been playing with the silver bullet regularly and I love it. ---------- Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent. Isaac Asimov
Ahh, I see a CBGB tee shirt there. I used to frequent that place back in the 70's. But sadly, growing up in the Bronx (I know it's no excuse) I don't remember much of those days. My life wasn't something to be proud of other than I made it to my age now! But I do remember (vaguely) hanging out at a table with the Ramones! Also waking up after closing time behind the Juke box at CBGBS! Ok...sorry for the drift.
@Geordieblues man, thanks man at least you can play and sing and sound good at it! i can't sing for toffee.
Wow Tommy!!! now i'm jelous.
I never made it to CBGB's infact the closest i'v ever been to New York was a two hr wait at the airport before an onward flight to Vegas a few years ago.
I love the old hardcore and punk bands from New York. I would have loved to meet the Ramones or any of the bands that used to hang out there:o)
I heard a few years ago they were ment to be putting CBGB's in Vegas although i'm not sure if it ever happened. ----------

Ah Yes, meeting famous musicians, i done plenty of that because i have two brothers working in the music buiss, unfortunatley not the sort of names likely to impress anyone here! I have met and in some cases gone out drinking with, Robbie Williams( he had sunday tea at me mams house with the rest of take that when they were just starting out) The Steriophonics( had to help me carry me kid brother to bed after a massive piss up) Carlos Santana( nice bloke but likes to mention god a lot!) Fish( he gave me his Lee Oscar harp in C) i still have'nt got round to cleaning it and giving it a go Phill Sumner(the guy who lives next door, good harp player and a nice bloke) with a brother called Gordon better known as Sting Paul Lamb, now this is more like it, i used to hang out with Mr Lamb and the boys from the Blues Burglers down the Kings Head in Blyth before i played harp so that should be worth a litte Kudos!
Awsome job , man , you are the perfect example of what I call the 3P's needed to learn an instrument , passion ,patience , practice . Having the patience to relearn the instrument( switching to TB) when you already got half decent , it's almsot unheard of in our microwave mentality era. You got my respect , Ant.
@ Sorin , thanks man. I really appreciate the comments.
You're right about re-learning my technique. The change did not come quickly and it took a lot of patience. When i found out I was going to have to learn how to TB to get the sound that i craved I could have cried.
I practiced TBing the Boogie Woogie walk at the end of every practice session and after a few months it started getting easier. I'm glad I stuck at it now.
I enjoyed your latest video by the way,the one thing I can't do is sing, you did a great job:o)
