this was fun but i wanna rock it way better. what else should i add to this or any other scales that i didnt do? that would work good with this song???
If you want to learn to rock harder, look for opportunities to sit in with bands that have a drummer and an electric bass player who know keep a tight groove. It's hard to really rock out if you are just accompanying an acoustic guitar. But you sound good and have nice tone.
true true hvyj. good idea. i c where it would give me an opportunity to do that. thanks dirty deck for your comment. comments like that make me feel like im headed in the right direction
I agree with hvyj. You sound good and have nice tone.
Here is my feedback on the first tune. Personally, I wasn't super wild about the guitar player's work. When John Brim originally recorded that tune, it was a mid-tempo shuffle and it really worked well. It really didn't seem like the two of you were playing together.
In the context of an acoustic duo, I think the song would have been better had he slowed the tempo a bit. It would have gave each of you more of an opportunity to carry some of the rhythm. It would have also left some open space for either of you to fill it with something interesting.
I started to listen to the second tune, but didn't finish. The overblows were nice.
