I hope Adam doesn't mind me mentioning this site. We normally have about 30 to 40 harp players at a time, but right now we only have about 15. The site has backing tracks, you download them, play and record to ones you like, then post that track on the site. Other players listen and offer feedback. It's generally friendly and people usually focus on what you do well and gently point out where you need to improve. There are always a lot of new players and it's fun to watch them grow. There's also a solo option, so if some of you are working on Adam's lessons and you want some feedback on your version of Kim Wilson's take of Got My Mojo Working, this is a great place for that. As I've said, there are always a lot of new players, and many players (like myself) condemned to the expansive plain of mediocrity that is the marginal intermediate player. ; ) But it's fun so we keep doing it. There are also some great players who pop in from time to time: Ben Bouman, Paul Lassey, Big Pete, Christelle, Tinus Koorn and many others who are very, very good but not well known. We usually have an incredible harper named Dennis, I've never known his last name, but besides being a gifted musician, he also composes the best backing tracks for the site. He is taking a break now, which he does from time to time. Right now I am supplying a lot of the backing tracks. I use the RealTrack feature of Band in a Box. If there is a particular style you would like for a backing track, just email me and I will make it. We respect intellectual property, of course. There is a no-pressure drum banging every six months for donations. Those who can, do. But it's basically a free site. I'm not the site owner, I'm just a player. I'm not sure why we have so few players right now, but I'm hoping that will change. Again, it's harmonicaboogie.com, check it out.

There were at least two. One was bluesharp.org and the other I can't recall. It might have been harmonicajam.com, but I don't remember. Only harmonicaboogie.com works now.

I did that a couple of years ago. It was fun. I should have tied the recognized champion of the last jam for first place, but I wasn't given credit for my final recording.

i love the site. The backing tracks are a huge help for us long time beginners. I'm "Brown Ale Guy" over there. I used to be very active, but have been too busy lately to participate as much as I'd like.
