I bought a new mic preamp/compressor and am figuring it out and what mic goes best with it. these songs are acoustic harp/vocals. Stock delta frosts and marine band deluxe. Walter

I LOVE those burbling sounds that you get out of your harp at around 1:26 on "Drink and Think and Drink".

Chickenthief: Thanks for listening! That riff is just breathing in and out real quick. I am still experimenting with settings on the preamp and compressor. I now have 5 channels of good to top notch gear. I encourage everyone to explore the art of recording. It is the final step in becoming completely self contained. This technology thing has allowed a guy like me to be able to avoid the pro studio scene. One can dump thousands of dollars and end up with just a cd worth of music they may not even like. For the same money, after a few pro done cds, one can own pro studio gear. Learning to use it right is like learning a new instrument. Luckily I am fascinated by such things and spend 3-10 hours a day recording. I am going to record a cd this summer with a great drummer, bassist, keyboard player that will be for sale. It will cost me nothing but my time. Walter
