thanks guys! That was my favorite song too.

toxic tone: I find it simple to create song after song by not thinking of anything and just playing. Let your subconcious rule. I do this when I paint/draw as well. I pick up my instruments or art tools and just start going with no idea what will come out. Thinking will kill it faster than you can blink your eye. Plus if you write a thought out song you are going to most likely be judging it against the multi million other thought out songs that have been deemed great by our society. With my approach you have no competition so to speak because it is all you totally free of thought like: wanting to fit in, be accepted, self beating up, concerned with the lenght of the song, etc..... I live in my own universe and the thought of being in the mix with the millions of other players/songwriters boggles my mind into shutdown. People can take me or leave me. I do me and no other. Life is too short to be compromising ones art. Let me know if I can be of any further help. Walter

tookatooka: I am at work and can't access my photobucket account. Public schools block most everything. I think this is the site and if you scroll through the pictures you will see one of a woman walking through a path of cherry blossoms. The woman is my wife and the blossoms were inspired by the ones down on town lake in austin. I am a simple painter, like my music is. I remember this picture well. I started with reds and whites and there it came to fruitation. I get frustrated with painting because I like to put it on thick and don't like waiting for it to dry. I do all my paintings in one shot, like my music. I hope in my lifetime instant dry acrylics come to be! Walter

tookatooka: You will find our dogs on there. Maggie the white one had one wish- to drive our 40 foot bus. They will show the way home :-) Walter

PS: the songs at the top of the post flowed out of me last night. My oldest friend, known him for 45 years, was at our house last week. We have stayed in close touch over the years and see each other every year or two. He lives in Ca and me in Ohio. Man, I swear when we get together it is like time stops. We are both lucky to be alive due to the lifestyle we led. He was with me when I got my first harp, played my first gig, toured with me as my tour manager, took me in when I was homeless, got me so high I almost died...... Knowing someone so long and so deep really is a gift. We both come from extremely dysfunctional home lives. That common bond cemented our friendship from the get go. When he left I cried. These songs came out of it imediately after he left. I figured maybe they might be of some use to others. Walter

Very nice Walter. In my experience acrylics dry pretty quick already. Maybe you'll find oil pastels better.
