Don't believe the hype, he likely died of medical problems. Remember, these are the same people who told us Lee Harvey acted alone, and that the passengers of UA Flight 93 overthrew their captors and put the plane in a nose dive...

Until empirical evidence suggests otherwise, I'll believe the hype. I'll say the same about the Kennedy Assassination, and Flight 93.

Yes, that's true. A bullet to the head is a serious medical problem.

thats a bit sheepish...come on now, this is 2011...if youre one of "those" that believe harvey shot him from behind and was alone in his endeavors, i would fully expect you to believe, without questioning, anything else the government tells you. However, I really dont think you are...just excited.

dead is dead, but there is no denying, from even moderately intelligent folk, that it is perfectly within the realm of reason to be suspect of any story the government will try to push on us regarding his death.

Yes I suppose in 2011, only the intelligent people dismiss all the official reports, and instead believe what they read on the internet.

Well, guess it's time to turn off BBC and hop on some blogs. That'll learn me.

the plane's debris strewn over 1.5 miles? and the largest hole in the ground at impact was 30 feet wide and 20 feet deep? and it supposedly hit the ground at a strong vertical decent? all in once piece? not hardly... if i was the CIC, and knew, an hour after WTC was hit, that a 4th plane was unresponsive, off course, and making a b-line for the whitehouse? yeah, id ask one of our boys (already in the air at that time) to riddle the fuselage and tail wing with bullets too. Significant evidence...indeed.

jonlaing, the official report was that oswald shot kennedy from above and behind, even when evidence proved someone in front of him blew his face off.

Generally when you hit the ground at 400+ mph, inertia will play a big role in how debris scatters. The plane didn't stay together to dig a hole in the ground, it shattered, and its pieces went flying accordingly. Same reason why the last hole in the Pentagon walls was so small. By the time it got threw the first three, it wasn't a plane anymore, it was a pile of debris.

At 400 mph 1.5 miles really isn't that far...

That is some imagination Kingo.

"Flight Recorder" evidence says that there was a struggle involving passengers and their captors.

There were many phone calls made from on board the plane by passengers telling their loved ones what happened and that they were going to overthrow the captors. Many, Many people.

I didn't know Anyone didn't believe that. Hmmm, you think the conspiracy would have actually made it to the States.....

@mcblues I am originally from the Jersey Shore and could see the smoke from the beach. I remember I was in 7th grade when it all happened. A lot of people from my hometown commuted to NYC and worked in the WTC. The school admins tried not to let the info leak, but my band instructor told us all. It was a really surreal moment to watch kids in my class become orphans right before my eyes.

It's one of the many reasons I get so riled up by conspiracy theories.

That said, I feel ashamed for letting it rile me up and then allowing myself to drag it out longer than two posts.

I am from Nashville, I was in TN on 9/11.

I lived 1200 miles away from all that shit... Watched it from my tv. Lived with the pain for the months and the years after... location has nothing to do with it at all...praise his death if you will, but in the case of the people who followed him (unlike hitler) there will be a successor IMMEDIATELY. believing otherwise would be like if they killed our president, we would all just lay down our weapons and disband as a nation. his death changes nothing. our soldiers will still die tomorrow fighting the same fight. it is for that reason, i scoff at the president's smug speech, and the sassy way in which he trotted away from the podium.

okay, im really done. night MBH'ers

I will agree that there will be someone to take his place tomorrow, and that the fight is far from over, but it is nice to see such a horrific person wiped off the face of the earth. There's also the—albeit optimistic—chance that his successor isn't half the leader, and the whole thing splits into factions and looses its influence in the world.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I just know that when it all happened, for whatever reasons, and even the reasons that we cannot agree on here, my chest swollen, brow curled, overwhelming sense of "Aww, HELL naw!, I'm signing up tomorrow morning!" kind of feelings were front and center. Tonight, the news brought out those emotions all over again.

I am glad his particular level of control over such an aggressive force is no more. Our military is destined to remain there as long as there is unrest. The only positive I see, immediately, is the 'hope' that the plan of actions our government takes tomorrow morning, is one that will favor , umm, I don't know....peace?

It doesn't really matter if Osama is dead or not. It doesn't really matter who takes his place. Because I don't believe that USA goes to war for peace,or against terror.

USA will always go to war to protect their oil-interests. The war on Iraq is a perfect example on that.

@thorvaldsen76 I'm really resisting going any further into this, but I think simplifying our actions in the Middle East down to just oil is a little bit of a stretch. We actually spend more money militarily being in the Middle East than the oil we get from there is worth, and that was BEFORE Iraq.

So, I would disagree that Iraq is a perfect example of US foreign policy being based on oil. I think it's just a nice tidy answer to something far more complex than that.

@mcblues The forum creed allows us to discuss things off the topic of Blues Harmonica. Osama Bin Laden being killed is big news, so it is being discussed. I personally believe that the conspiracy theories are taking it a little far, but that is just me, and everyone is entitled to their opinions. You can either join the discussion or ignore it.

jonlaing: I know I keep it very simple.. I know it's a bit more complicated. But to me it seems that USA goes to war to secure it's interests. If they have no interests they they don't give a damn. I don't believe that the war against Iraq has anything to do with saving the people. In that case USA should have gone into Rwanda, for example. Where 2 millions were killed in a couple of weeks. USA should also help the Palestinians, living in a gigantic consentrationcamp without enough food, medicine etc. But that would upset Israel right?

To be honest I think USA behaves imperialistic in the war on terror, and I fear that going to war in the Middle East will only create another generation that will hate the western world..

People are comparing the USA citizens reaction to this to the Middle easterners reaction to the 9-11 attacks..... Saying that they are celebrating death.

The death of 3,000 innocent people is FAAAAAAR different from the death of one man who dedicated his life to killing people and Teaching how to spreading fear and blood around the world.

Linking these two Is just plain stupid and ignorant. If you felt good that Ted Bundy was finished, you MUST feel good that the most wanted man in the world is.
--------------------

Yeah..... Spending billions of dollars a year to steal oil worth half that amount makes a lot of sese! I "see" how you guys can be fooled into thinking that...... The numbers just add up. Lmao.

That is like saying NASA spends billions to secretly drill for oil on the moon. BE REALISTIC PEOPLE.
