I was just reading the "first jam" thread, and I thought of an idea. I'm personally sick of jams, having been to so many across the country. However, perhaps there's somebody near me who's never been, but needs a little help. So, if you're in the Raleigh Durham area and you're "almost there" or afraid to hit your first jam, I'm offering free jam coaching.

I need to get out more and keep my chops up, anyway, so why not?
It's a long shot, but hit me up via message on the tube, and we'll try to get out sometime soon. Since it's a freebie, the caveat will be "as available". You get what you pay for. (There are people who make a living off of harmonica lessons. It is never my intention to undercut them.)

Maybe some other advanced jammers and pro's will pick up the torch in other parts of the country. We share the knowledge online freely enough. Let's take it to the next level.

To you guys new to, or leary of jamming, I bet others will offer. It's up to you to take the challenge.

Shame cos i think Dan Gage looks like a bloke who enjoys a good laugh.

I got sick as a dog making that eggnog recipe -- he should have included a few disclaimers about raw egg handling!

By the way, I received a lot of good performance advice from Mr.Gage in my formative years of harmonica playing... I'm only now beginning to follow some of that advice. The biggest one was getting the guts and training to sing so you can be in control of the band!

Well I'm not quite ready yet, but hopefully in a few more months. I live in Garner.

The only way you'd get sick from MY eggnog is from the excessive alcohol content. We had some good times, Mr. Ridgeway and myself. More to come this weekend and at MBH II.

pistolero, there's a jam in Clayton (I think) run by Tracy Weibek. I've played with and have good rapport with Tracy. If you get the nerve, I'll drive down there one week. It'll be good for me to solidify my relationship with the owner. If you're not ready, we can just play on the patio and see what it's going to take to GET you ready.

Sweet. Much practice is in order first! Thanks!
