I brought out one of my acoustic guitar and mic'd it along with my 1 man drums. Mic'ng the acoustic guitar in this set up is as hard as recording with the same mic for the vocals and harp. Seeing everything is a few inches from each other makes for a real recording challenge. There are all kinds of conflicting frequencies bleeding into all the mics. The guitar is a handmade take on a gibson L-00 that was made by a 3rd generation appalachian luthier out of 80+ year old woods. He sold it to me, brand new for $200. It has a sweet sound! All words and music spontaneously created and recorded. Walter

That is a dam nice guitar man, I only wish I wasn't so addicted to playing the harp, then I might be able to pick up a guitar.

you might just do that if you get tired of waiting on guitar players :-) I have a 1930's kalamzoo and this one sounds at least as good. The builder, Carl Reed, digs my music and basically gave it to me for that price. Similar builds go for thousands. I have had a 1/2 dozen great guitars come to me for free or next to nothing via this mode. I got a 1963 fender jazzmaster that lonnie mack gave to stevie vaughn, who gave it to me when I hit austin and my guitar couldn't cut the loud volumes there and he dug my sound. Also have a 1940 style O national in mint shape, and some other cool ones, including the black cat mojo guitar. The black cat lounge was the wildest club in Texas and I was the house band there for 8 years. The owner, Paul, gave me a handmade aluminum body resonator when we left austin. That is one good side of playing full time. You got no money but good gear comes your way. Walter
