Well I journeyed out to the Nashville Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the regional battle of the bands competition. I was facing three other college bands: two from Belmont University in Nashville, and one from Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. Each was very different and interesting, however my favorite band was the "Weight of Glory" from Belmont.

Anyhow, after a stellar set that went flawlessly even by my standards, I ended up not winning the competition. Instead, the LOUDEST band ( the guys from Lee University)ended up taking the prize. It was very interesting indeed for they were my least favorite of the bunch; a very stereotypical college "garage" type of band with MASSIVE amplifiers and head bobbing theatrics.

The upside is that I ended up meeting one of the judges who happens to be a Grammy winning record producer from Nashville, and he is planning to have me work on some projects. Also, I won a Jawbone Jambox wireless mini speaker system, which turned out to be pretty awesome.

Thanks to everyone who voted for my track in the competition and for the support. It is greatly appreciated.

There is also still a chance that I can continue in the competition because of a possible wild card vote at one of the future battles. We will see what the future brings.
