I found this one today that les banks did with sonny rhodes. This was done just after I quit playing with sonny and moved to europe. It was great to see him so vibrant. A good message too! Walter

That videos brought back lots of memories of playing elis mile high club. It was a smoke factory like all the clubs were back then. Eli's and the Deluxe Inn were authentic juke joints at that time. I never have smoked and it is funny how the drive to play live blocked out all that smoke (which I detest more than anything on this earth) from my mind. I do remember taking a shower after gigs and the shower smelling of smoke and how my clothes, guitars, amps, all stunk of smoke. I will never play a gig again that allows smoking. Smokers will never get it. This reminded me of going to the funeral of a friend dead at 42 because she smoked. Every time I passed her on the road two fingers were in the air off of the steering wheel holding a cig and she was smoking. At the wake her son, daughter and husband were all smoking away. Teenagers mind you.
