Anybody else see this article?
Rockford Company Sets Tone For High-End Harmonicas
Maybe this is old news already, but this article says:
"Harrison, who is working on another model to add to his product line, began customizing harmonicas 14 years ago and earned a name among the mouth harp cognoscenti."
Pretty cool news as far as I'm concerned.

Well a year or so there was a rumour of a Jason Ricci signature model, but Jason's relationship with the company seems to have changed.
Frankly I think they'd be better off sorting out the huge lead time before they even contemplate trying to market another product.

Yeah, they seem to have their priorities all ass backwards at HH. The last thing they need right now is another model when they have so many pissed off people still waiting for B-Rads for a year plus. They can't even come up with a production schedule after many months of promising one, "very soon!", repeatedly.

This has been hinted at before. It actually kind of pissed me off. By the time some of us actually recieve our B-rads - they will be obsolete !
The creative process is exciting - I get that - How about excecuting / delivering ? I ordered 3 when turn around time was promised to be three months - kind of funny in retrospect.
on March 9 2010 I got this Congratulations!
You have just pre-ordered the world's finest harmonica, made right here in the United States!
We will be shipping your instrument(s) to you in May 2010 and we will keep you posted on our progress.
Thank you, Michael Peloquin Product Manager Harrison Harmonicas, Inc. ----------

I believe that they should concentrate of shipping narps to those who have been waiting over a year and a half before they come out with a new product. Or am I wrong ?? ----------

It says he is working on another model. That could mean anything from he wants to add a model to he has prototypes. I wouldn't get too worked up until the B-Awesome is put up for pre-sale on their site.
He literally may have just the idea of another model and not even a sketch or explanation of what it looks like...but on the other hand, maybe there are prototypes already out there???? ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas

Yeah, I certainly didn't intend to upset folks about the wait times, though I can certainly understand. Looking at this from a standpoint of advancement of the harmonica, I just think a new model would be exciting. And it seems that more people are starting to receive their orders? I waited a long time also, but I did receive my C.

I understand. My posting of this thread doesn't mean that I am in agreement with the long wait times.
For the record, I'm a Hohner endorser, so I have no professional or business relationship with Harrison.
Still excited about a new model if there is one.

The problem here is Harrison has taken deposits off people. If everyone screamed 'refund'. the company would go down the pan.
The only way I'm going to order one is if it's guaranteed on the shelf with a 2-3 week tweaking and shipping time.
A one year wait tells me that Harrison are using new deposits to montise production of previous orders.
I don't know about the US, but UK customers should put it on a credit card. If the harp doesn't show up in a timely fashion or as initially agreed at time of sale, you can ask for the money to be collected on the basis of failure to supply.
Obviously I wouldn't take this route lightly myself and I appreciate delays, but what we're hearing about are MAJOR delays. I don't see any harp being that good that I've got to lay my money down for an indefinite period.
Harrison needs to get some major backers. If I were in that position, I'd approach Hohner, Seydel or Suzuki, or the 'unknown Chinese' guys to make piece parts and throw some talent or money at the business whilst insisting on maintaining quality control.
That said, peeps seem really happy when they get them, Harrison just have to get their sh!t sorted or they won't have a business. I've been on the recieving end making beautiful things but not being able to perform as a business. It hurts when you know you can make an amazing product, but no one trusts you to deliver.
I hope they sort it out.

Todd - the frustration I expressed was not inteded to be aimed at you. You didn't 'stir up" anything that hasn't already been stirred - Nothing wrong with you being curious about what might be next.

No worries bonedog! I didn't think that you or anyone else was frustrated with me. Just wanted to clarify because I didn't want to sound seem insensitive about the wait times.
Hope you are at SPAH this year!

No. 1, how do you know they haven't figured it out and are on the downhill side of what they went through. You don't. I didn't see any sitting on anything when I was there, because everybody was working their asses off. No. 2... no new model has come out. No. 3... They've stopped taking orders.
I suppose they could have the manager drawn and quartered, lol.

The Harrison saga continues. Getting flack for falling behind the demand! Still, I cancelled and took a refund. I'll check back in 5 years.
