Heya folks,

I tried to broadcast this live for you MBH'ers, but I guess I should have told people first? hehe.

This is portion of the Harmonica Workshop that took place here on April 9'th.

Al Lerman, a badass Toronto musician (known from the band "fathead") talks about his influences (Sonny Terry, SB1&2) and does some live demonstrations along with general tips on the harp and being a musician.

...some good info for beginners, interesting stories, and good music. Enjoy!

PS. I also recorded the whole thing on my digital recorder and have it in hiqh quality mp3 if anyone is interested, let me know.

Hey Oda, Thanks for the post. Its nice to see he's still sharing the knowledge.
As a side note on Al Lerman, (A great sax player too)
Al used to hold a blues harp class at the Etobicoke School for the Arts. It was a 12 week session held at night. I know a few who took it and really got a lot of it. I'm not sure if he's still doing it or not.
Again, Thanks for posting this.

@Xharp - re Etobicoke classes - no he is not but Mark Stafford is.

On the workshop - I've been to a dozen of these over the years and I'm disappointed with this year's version. Not very educational - no audience play along, almost zero questions (no mic for audience as there often is) no handouts. All of these have been offered in the past. Also, one raffle item when there are usually dozens!
