I need to learn to profile reeds on my harps. Advice? Youtube video?
Thanks,
Jay

Well, there's tons of info on the web and on this forum. Not all of it's good. Finding the right stuff can be difficult. Just to get an idea of how we can help: What result do you want to achieve by profiling the reeds? What kind of experience do you have working on harps?

I've worked on lots of harps but just the basics. Usually to correct a problem such as buzzing reeds, adjusting reed gaps, tuning reeds that have gone flat or tuning entire harps for better chords, etc.
I'm a blues player who's looking for improved response but I think that the value of fully customized harps is probably lost on me.
Thanks for your interest!

Buy a maginifying glass and look closely at the reeds on the harps that play well for you. Then try to copy that. When you adjust reeds just make sure they are fairly straight with the tip slightly curled up. Then just gap untill your happy with the response.
