I pulled up RL Burnsides poor black mattie on youtube and was curious to what key he is playing in-I think the song stays on the I chord throughout the song RL seemed to do that and was quite effective IMO

that not the one this one has johnny woods who blows harp sitting there and not playing love watching RL fretting so skillful damn mississippi had and has so much talent

Great song, I learnt to play that on the guitar a year or so back. For that tune RL had his guitar tuned to open G. So it would be a C harp in second. ( NB: I havent checked the vid, the pitch could be off if its slowed down a bit etc )
