Pinetop Perkins's funeral is today in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and after it's over, there's going to be a massive jam at Hopson Plantation's Commissary. (Pinetop lived and worked at Hopson, many decades ago.) I'm almost certainly going to drive down there, since it's only 60 miles from me. I expect that quite a few well-known Mississippi blues people will be there. I'll bring my videocam and will try to give you-all a report.
