I am going to post some Videos of Crescent City Harmonica Club members playing a various location. I am going to try to post them all on this thread. Let me know if they are getting on your nerves. AHere is the first one from last night, with Thomas Walker:
Hey HH I looked at the facebook page was gonna join but saw yall are some real harp players. I'm just too raw rank amateur but sure would like to come see yall doin it, I live on Magazine St. whats up next I'd like to lookit!
Send me your email address, and I will enroll you in the Crescent City Harmonica Club. It is free, and we do a bunch of stuff, and have become good friends. ----------
Thomas' playing is quite tasty. - Does he have a regular band he gigs with? - That horn player is good too. - thanks for sharing - not getting on my nerves by a long shot yet. ----------
Yes, Thomas is a great player, and a real nice guy. He also plays a great guitar. Some of the videos I am going to post have him playing guitar. Thomas plays guitar with J. Monque' D Blues Band, and guitar and harmonica with Little Red and Big Bad, and whoever else needs him. ----------
Yobenny, drop me a line too. Harvey and I maintain two separate email accounts, but I send out CCHC email from time to time as well.
The show to be at last night was my band's show at BMC on Decatur and Esplanade-a packed house(started out so-so, and filled quickly when we cranked up), both doors open to the street, and the doorways were so full with folks watching and dancing, people had to go in the street to pass by! I seriously went into it expecting a mediocre crowd at best. Patrick Williams and I had a killer harp duel during Wang Dang Doodle, and he stayed up for a few more tunes, too. Good contacts were made, as well-I'll be playing with Cedric Burnside at his show here in May, and probably a couple others(his manager was in the audience). Click on my link, YoBenny, and check out itinerary.
Oh, and out club meetings are the second Wednesday of every month, and we alternate between Big Al's Deck Bar and Zaddies on Jefferson Highway. This month we're at Deck Bar(where the video above was shot), in the back room for 6, and we move up front for the jam at 8. Our meetings are open to all levels of player.
Thank you VERY much! I am so glad I looked at this post, I'm really looking forward to it! Man comin to watch you guys may just be that needed push that gets me over this first hump that I cant get over - make myself practice.

Here is another one from this past Wednesday. The singer is from the Houma Area, and she blew us all away. Rocky Denney is on Harp. I have a couple more of her coming.
Sooo, here's Eudora singing the last song of the night Thursday, with Patrick Williams(another CCHCer)joining me onstage, as well as some dude with a sax.
the Rock Denny one is set to 'private' - it wouldn't play for me. Thanks for posting these. Todd - I like what your're doing on that slow blues - the background comping including. Your buddy sounds good too. Interesting tone comparison there with him going direct and you through your little tube amp. Both sound good but I am personally starting to lean more and more toward the direct PA sound. You can jsut hear details more clearly withouth the 'crunch' we all seem to love. I'm still very attached to my collection of small tube amps and will have to wean myself slowly (if ever). - Are you getting that Weber kit built ? ----------
Here is one from Bobby Cure's Beach House of Todd Greene and myself just jamming. Todd had the advantage he had an amp. I has Eudora's vocal mic. Great fun though.
Well, its like this. I did not want you to see it. Actually, when I upload to You Tube from my camera software, I have to check a tiny little bex that says to make it public. I am rather old, and it is a very tiny little box with little letters, so I forget. Thay is why we have you as a moderator, to remind to to check the box. Try it again. ----------
