Love that video! I've had the opportunity to meet and talk to Bobby Rush several times. He's an amazing entertainer. He is one helluva story teller.
The first time that I talked to him, he hung out with me and my wife for about an hour. After he found out that we were long time fans, he began telling us stories about his time in Chicago during the 1950's when he met Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Little Walter.
We talked about the Superbowl of Blues concerts held during the 80's. He told some stories about the recording session where they recorded the tune, "Chickenheads". We talked about his plans to crossover from the chitlin circuit.
I've talked to him a few time since them. I learned a ton of stuff from him just by listening to him. He's a great guy. A nicer person you will not meet.
There is a story that he tells about racism in the South during the 50's and 60's before or after this tune in the movie that is really heavy.
Hummm...yet another upside-down harp player. What are we at? 15-20 of 'em? ---------- MBH Webbrain - a GUI guide to Adam's Youtube vids FerretCat Webbrain - Jason Ricci's vids (by hair colour!)
