I have been doing this song for years. I think Jonathan Edwards is an underrated harp player, especially in regards to his rack playing.

Jonathan Edwards was one of the first harmonica players that made me want to learn to play, and then I discovered Norton Buffalo (all around 1978) and that did it.

I had the pleasure of seeing Jonathan Edwards live at a very small concert, probably less than 100 people... only him and a piano player. Awesome !

"Shanty" was definitely one of the most popular songs played by bar bands back in the late 70's and early 80's when my buddies and I were out and about.

He probably is one of the best rack players...
