My harp amp is 6W ...9:00 tone 2:00 volume with boost.
Bass is a a 200W Ampeg stack. TWO gits: one an Epi hollowbody w/ a Orange Crush amp , the other a Strat hooked to a Fender Deville.

I did "Born in Chicago" , "Spoonful" , " Shake, Rattle and Roll", and "Messin' with the Kid" before steppin' down and running the show .

Incredible...a 6W amp that is too loud !

Ha ha! 6W is a somewhat artificial measurement of an amp's output, dB is what loudness is measured in, but few people refer to dB meters, voicing too plays a major part in how loud an amp is percieved to be...I know of "5W" & "8W" amps that easily keep up with amps of "30-40W"! Wattage alone doesn't tell you much.

Same deal with my Marble Max. That little sucker can get really really loud for a Champ-style amp!

In all fairness - there are no miracles. I have a VHT6 I bought to experiment with. Good little amp. But if 2 guitar players with big amps and a 200W bass were anywhere near their max, you would not be able to hear yourself 8 feet from that amp, or even one twice its size.

Or perhaps you had it mic'd? Or it was a very small room?

On the other hand if they were keeping their volumes down, and you could be heard, that is wonderful - it was probably a much better listening level for the audience.
