This track is from a blues band that hired me to play with them and give them weekly coaching. They've been getting better, and this one has a really nice groove to it. There's a nice build-up too. It really gets going around 2:25. I'm playing a low F harp on this, with octave and vibrato effects. for my solo (3:40), I kick in the maxon auto filter, and it gets pretty rowdy! Just a small warning: this is definitely modern blues, and pretty experimental. Don't let that deter you from giving it a good listen, though! Comments would be appreciated.
@ Matzen - You mean the melody? That's me on harp, going through a EH mirco pog and BBE mind bender set on vibrato. I do a lot of texture adding in the rest of it too (the organ-like sounds that keep popping in and out).
First off, I have no idea how long you all have been playing your instruments, so I am listening to it at face value. It sounds stiff, jerky and very disjointed to me. The groove is not there, just instruments all playing stiff parts at once. If you all are just beginners then I say keep on it and in time the groove will develop if you all learn to relax and flow more. Sorry, but that is my honest opinion. Walter

@ waltertore - The group is all hobby musicians except for me. I've really been working a lot on getting them to groove better. Believe it or not, they've come a long way. It's slow improvement. Thanks for your input, please don't apologize for your opinion!
