I own a TASCAM GT-R1 and I am struggling to find a way to use it with the harp. It has a recording, metronome and some beat functions as well as slow downer. However, I have all those on my iPad.

Anyone out there got one and have found it usefull?

How do you like the tascam slower downer feature? I'm not a big computer person and prefer a stand alone system. I was looking at the LR-10 but unable to find a harmonica user review, that makes me second guess spending the money.....

Thanks,

@Seven

This is very expensive if used just for a slow downer but it works pretty good. The turn wheel makes going back and forth over a song portion very easy. You have to use a computer to input songs otherwise you have to hold the Tascam up to a speaker and record off another machine - not a big deal but you lose fidelity. Also, you might be able to find a way to do this, but I cannot figure out how to name my recordings, unless you import a song that has already been named. It only assigns numbers and if you erase that recording, that number is lost. For example if I record my 19th sessions and then erase it, my recordings will be listed 1 - 18, then the next one will be 20. Not a big deal but if you are anal retentive, it can drive you nuts. There is probably a way to do it but I have not found it yet.

If you have an iPad, I would spring for the Capo app. You can import some songs from iTunes and slow then down. Much easier to use.
