Ive never seen a good version of this (if there is one please show me :) ). However ive been messing around trying to get some licks together because ive been playing around with it on guitar. Anyone know any good licks that fit in with the classic tune/ even better upload some attempts? IMO would be a cool song to play along to on harp (if you has ze skills) Thanks guys n gals Sven
Probably not much help but we used to play this about 15 years ago i seem to remember it being in D open tuning slide guitar!! it was one of my lesser playing numbers, Lol mostly chords and chugging.

Anyone wana give jamming along to the elmore james version a go? wouild be great to hear haha x
I ran across a canned heat version on youtube that a G-harp fits with nicely. I'm not that great a harp player but some real nice licks came easy. It's under the name Alantmac, with black and white picture.
Lmbrjak thats a great version, gotta love canned heat :). Exactly the kind of inspiration i was looking for. I guess its time to start working on making it into a solo piece haha. ahh the slog Thanks
Check out Taj Mahals 1st album I believe;(Cd of coarse unless you can find it on vinyl) entitled Taj Mahal if you can get it.He soley plays harp on Dust My Broom with a band backing him including Ry Cooder. If I,m not mistaken this is his 1st album after his work with Rising Sons.He also covers Statesboro Blues,Celebrated Walkin Blues,Leaving Trunk and Diving duck Blues. Its a classic Taj recording,a must have for blues lovers.
