Ive never seen a good version of this (if there is one please show me :) ). However ive been messing around trying to get some licks together because ive been playing around with it on guitar. Anyone know any good licks that fit in with the classic tune/ even better upload some attempts? IMO would be a cool song to play along to on harp (if you has ze skills)
Thanks guys n gals

jon gindick has a cd with robert johnson songs broken down.
i think he has THE RIFFas:
6b 6b 6b 6b 6b 6b
2d 3d' 2d

it would probably sound better if you replace the 6b with 3-6b.
it would then be easier then to replace the 1st 2d with a 3b

I ran across a canned heat version on youtube that a G-harp fits with nicely. I'm not that great a harp player but some real nice licks came easy. It's under the name Alantmac, with black and white picture.

Go to the iTunes store and buy a copy of Mother In Law Blues by Junior Parker or Little Mac Simmons. You can use that on Dust My Broom.

Here's one with Elmore James and sounds like Sonny Boy II.

It's in E played cross on an A harp

Check out Taj Mahals 1st album I believe;(Cd of coarse unless you can find it on vinyl) entitled Taj Mahal if you can get it.He soley plays harp on Dust My Broom with a band backing him including Ry Cooder. If I,m not mistaken this is his 1st album after his work with Rising Sons.He also covers Statesboro Blues,Celebrated Walkin Blues,Leaving Trunk and Diving duck Blues. Its a classic Taj recording,a must have for blues lovers.
