If I want to play chord for the blues progression I think it is :
I Chord = 234 Draw
IV Chord = 123 or 456 or 789 Blow
V Chord = Missing

Is that correct or did I misunderstand something or maybe everything?

You got it. You can arpgeggiate the V chord playing it one note at a time. 1 draw 2 single bend, 3 double bend.

The chords you are choosing are major chords. Blues often works with dominant 7th chords.

On a C harp in the key of G, the I chord would be G B D F, The IV chord would be C E G Bb,the V chord would be D F# A C. Can you find these notes? Only the I chord is possible as a full chord, but knowing where the notes the rhythm players are playing, even if you only play one at a time will help you sound good. See if you can find them in all three octaves.

Second position would be

I: 123 Draw -2 draw being the root
IV: 345 Blow -4 blow being the root
V: 345 Draw -4 draw being the root

Edit: Michael got it while I was typing. Pay no attention to mine haha.

Thanks
I can see that some notes are missing as the F#.
Would using a Lee Oskar Meldody Maker in the Key of G make any sense?

Tack Bluemoose, I was not clear.
Thinking of the F# in a D chord as in (D F# A) that you have that on the melody maker.
Sounds nice.

Or hit the 1 and four tongue block draw octave, that usually works for the V chord. When you do that, it's the root, and it makes enough overtones to be rich enough to stand out and your rythm players are already playing the 3rd and fifth notes of the chord. Overall effect is whole band, of which you are a part, is playing a V chord. That's how they get chords in operas. Try finding the V chord on a basoon, lol. You can learn a lot of stuff from classical and operas. Btw, the V chord is 456 draw on country or Smokey Joe tuned instruments.
