At the end of example 1, there is a "6 hole inhale, 7 hole inhale, 6 hole inhale, 7 hole inhale to the 4 hole inhale.....this is an idea that I've heard Curtis use quite a few times over the years, so would guess Mr. Salgado.

Wheel, Darrell Nulisch was my third choice, but two guesses already seemed like one too many.

I would vote with the Iceman, though--I thought it was Salgado, shouldna hedged my bet.

I wouldn't call any of the three soul/R&B singers, though, but rather soul-blues artists who happen to play harmonica, same as James Cotton, Bobby Rush and Junior Parker, who started earlier and evolved into that, or Paul deLay.

Curtis is the ticket :)The first song is - Hit It 'n Quit It w/ terry robb....The 2nd one is called - To Hell With It (Part 2) from the CD - more than you can chew.

Here is an artist that may be a give away to some ears out there?

Hey! Finally one I know. He also plays sax.IMHO Not as well known as he should be as a harp player. But I won't tell for now and keep this going for a while.

You fellas keep adding players to my CD wish list. Thanks!

I made a quick listen to the albums of Curtis Salgado, Darrell Nulisch or Tad Robinson and did not find such tune :)

He is some how associated, in part, with a classic American musical and one time amp builder?

Correct, tis Andy Linderman AKA Westside Andy...The American musical correlation was "Westside Story" and the amp he once endorsed was known as the (Holland Westside Andy) Mike Holland being the amp builder. the song is called BACKROADS off the CD 'Alley Cat' :)

I tend to agree with Tom. I suspect it could be RJ Harman as well.

NOT RJ Harman....RJ recycles note for note solos he "borrowed" from other players....mostly from Carlos Del Junco, Kim Wilson, Mooncat, etc.

He's young, yet. Hope he finds his own voice eventually.

The potential is there.

Then one that's attributed to me (the one just above the video of Pierre Beauregard) is not on chromatic harmonica and isn't me, either. Maybe a file got switched.

Grey Owl - I'm pretty sure it's the great Todd Parrott. I wish he'd hurry up and get that album released! Love his playing.

I've no idea at all who's Frank's one is though.

btw, Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys is one excellent band. They do all the right stuff.

I played keys w/them in Orlando a few years back. Really easy to fit in. Everyone was playing the basic blues stuff ... lotsa space, not loud at all, etc.
