Hi everyone. I've noticed that Dropbox changed how to share photo embeds (breaking a ton of old links), and it looks like Photobucket will only let you post photos on third party sites with the paid version of their service now. That's got me wondering what the free, simple options are out there for embedding pictures on the site are. There isn't a practical way to save them on site, so it has to be a third party option.

Hi Nate. I've noticed this also. I have just signed up to IMGUR for free and uploaded a photo and the embed code was readily available to copy and paste. So here goes....

BTW Bluesbottle....Cool name for a band? :)

Edit:- Well, the result is a bit untidy with the framing etc., but it works and it is free. You can also set your photo to hidden if you don't want to share it with everyone on the net.

Another free one I have used where it's not even necessary to sign up for is TinyPic. Here is the result. You have an embed code for message boards but you need the HTML one for for websites. (I had to resize the photo on this occasion and upload it because the original came out too big)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

EDIT: I am now trying the embed code for message boards option but ditching their IMG bits before and after the code and using the usual forum prefix for uploading images.

Edit Well no difference there but it works well. I would resize my original photo again and upload as the above are a bit too big for my liking.
