The harmonica I'm using is a customized XB-40 in the key of D. The tuning I'm using is often called "Easy Third". Hole 2 and 3 draw are retuned to same as hole 5 and 6, giving me an D major chord on blow and an E minor on draw except hole 7 draw which is a C#. ---------- Regards, Joel Andersson Sweden Website Facebook YouTube
Any time I consider trying to play Irish tunes on harmonica I think "oh hell no, that's just too damn difficult!" and I pick up my flute, lol. But I'd love to be able to do it, trad tunes sound great on harp.
Yes, Irish Trad. can be tricky, same as many other musical styles. One of the biggest problems with Irish music today is fining a suitable harmonica. I love the XB-40 and rebuilt Auto Valves, sadly both of them are discontinued.
