It is December and I thought it appropriate to start a thread of seasonal music. Here is a version I recorded last night of "O Holy Night", written by in 1847 by Adloph Adam.
I thought the 'Cathedral" reverb appropriate to this tune (I also like the way it masks the timing and tonal errors :-) )
I look forward to hearing what others will post in this thread.

Here's something I just recorded last night. I got motivated from seeing the awesome Christmas songs on Facebook by YukiHarp and her husband Jon Vaughan.
I always like seeing what Diggs puts out. It is always very well done and extremely musical, treating the harmonica as one would a violin or trumpet.
Cliffy,I love what you did morphing together the two different ideas. Theme and variations typically takes a more classical bent, but what you did there is very interesting, well executed and quite listenable.
Thank you all so much! Tom, please feel free to share the clip in your FB page. I'm an occasional customer of yours (Bill Lifford) and now I wish I was playing one of my Corian-combed harps in the video :)
Here is one I did a few years back-- I haven't been using this tuning much, but have it in all 12 keys (just in case I get a gig LOL). Just got them out, and will practice it a bit (so I can annoy the neighborhood on my way to Trader Joe's).

Gary, that was really cool. I loved the harmonica switching... I am not an over-bender, so I often have to do some switching for songs like this. You make me want to start experimenting with other tunings. I love how you are kind of an altered tuning "mad scientist".
Emile (Diggs), wow those tracks are FANTASTIC! What a beautiful crisp clear tone you get on the chrom. On the first track there are some -- I think the name for them is "pizzicato"? -- notes that remind me of Stevie Wonder's "Alfie" on the Eivets Rednow album. And the solo on the second song really elevates the song. Now I am going to subscribe to your YouTube channel and start checking out your other videos. Dude you make really beautiful music!!!

I played Cliffy's version of Jingle Bells for my brother in law--he takes lessons from Jon Gindick and plays a lot (retired Ventura County Sheriff)--he was understandably taken aback. We were at a family holiday gathering, I didn't play harp (gave Jeff an impromptu lesson on 3 draw bend heheh) but got to play some piano for a singalong--music makes everything better. Merry Christmas to all!
Cliffy! Tearing it up sir! I hope everyone took notice of how tilted the harp is in your mouth. That is my big realization this year. Makes a ton of difference.
@ Grey Owl: watched all of your vids! All of them are really good, but I liked the last one (the 3td position one) the best. The melody sounds good like that and your phrasing is nice. The ends of your notes have a nice timbre to them.
@Tom (Florida): that's really cool. The video got a lot of "likes" today... maybe it got a bump up from your posting it :). To my kids, it's funny that their dad makes YouTube videos. They were pretty impressed with 14 "likes", but said I wouldn't rally be cool until I had 20.
@ Bluemoose: that's funny you mentioned the tilted attitude of the harmonica. I looked at the video and it appears I do tilt the harp a bit. I never really thought about it very much. I switch back-and-forth between puckering and tongue blocking, so maybe it comes from my doing that.
I thought that was really awesome. I loved it. There are certain passages where the harmonica and the accordion come together that really elevate the song to something special.
For the last 3 years, The Harmonica Club has been the host band for the December meeting of The Huntington Blues Society. Here is a number we did Wednesday Dec 21, 2016 called "Merry Christmas Baby". Sung by Karen Combs, everyone in the club gets to take a turn. Local harp hot=shot, Allan Hatten takes a ride about 5:22
